Fireworks

My neighbors were having a fun time on the fourth of July, and I decided to join in...by taking some 5-minute exposures!

Multi-exposure Golden Gate

I love this picture--or shall I say...pictures. This is made of ten images taken in rapid succession, so that the entire bridge is filled with lights.

Tesla Coil Close-up

**International top 100 physics picture** A really cool picture of my tesla coil that I got. This was quite a hard picture, because the camera kept on glitching out.

Sparkler

This was super fun to take. I used an initial flash to illuminate the background, and then I used a long exposure to capture the spark "wheel"

One-Footed Flyer

A one-footed seagull. It took 20 minutes for me to approach him enough to take this picture.

Firework Multiexposure 1

I layered multiple 1/50 second exposures to track how a firework exploded.

Fireworks 2

My neighbors were having a fun time on the fourth of July, and I decided to join in...by taking some 5-minute exposures!

Firework multiexposure 2

I layered multiple 1/50 second exposures to track how a firework exploded.

Litter

I absolutely hate beach litter, so I took a picture of it (and picked it up).

Firework Multiexposure 3

I layered multiple 1/50 second exposures to track how a firework exploded.

Fishing for Light

Wonderful silhouette taken on Long Island

Rivers of Light

Another beautiful long exposure taken in PIttsburgh

Bridge of Lights

A long exposure taken of the gorgeous skyline of Pittsburgh

Rock Pile

**Scholastic Silver Key** Got bored on the beach...and snapped a picture

Pepper's Secret Admirer

**Scholastic Silver Key** This was a ghost pepper that some brave (or stupid) insect had bitten into. I needed to snap this picture.

Silver Lining

**Scholastic Honorable Mention** A really cool leaf

Skirt of Thorns

**Scholastic Honorable Mention** Just a close-up shot of a post-bloom flower.

Lone Firefighter

Having a fire hydrant in the middle of a rather desolate beach trail struck me as profound, so I took this picture

Persistant

For some reason, one of our trees refused to accept the coming of winter.

Dominance

Two birds over water-fountain control.

Into The Light

Perfect timing.

Spiny Fingers

Thought my blue spruce tree looked cool

Different

On our dining table, we had one Granny Smith and a ton of Empires. Decided to put them together.

Splash

A lucky shot of water hitting a rock.

Sun's Last Stand

Saw this, decided to snap a picture.

Rumination

A very peaceful image. Nothing more.

Desolate

I thought this completely dead tree next to the ocean was a good juxtaposition.

Sunset on the Bay

This was taken on Long Island. The body of water is actually a small puddle.

Natural Spectrum

I wanted to make a rainbow using only rocks and shells. Absolute win.

In Flight_

Really cool silhouette of birds I caught

Flag Memorial

This is a memorial of the TWA Flight 800 that crashed at this location.
